Our goal
We want everyone to be able to use heliostep.com, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, zoom or larger text. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we’ve done
- Text has enough contrast against everything behind it, light and dark.
- Every page works by keyboard, with a visible focus ring and a link to skip to the content.
- Pages fit narrow phones down to 320 pixels wide without sideways scrolling, and text can grow to 200%.
- With reduced motion turned on, nothing moves and the hero video isn’t loaded; it has no sound.
- Pictures of the app have written descriptions, and forms have labels and plain error messages.
What isn’t perfect yet
- The quick check that keeps bots off the waitlist may not load inside some apps’ built-in browsers. If it doesn’t, email us and we’ll add you.
- We’ve checked these pages with automated tools, by keyboard and at small sizes. We haven’t yet tested them with every screen reader on every phone.
